For over 30 years Judy has been teaching these same biblical concepts to woman that she learned and practiced in her own life.
In 1988, a series of private letters began to flow from the pen of Judy Seligman. Inspired by the "chosen lady" addressed in 2 John 1, Judy wrote to a young woman navigating the storms of marriage. Grounded in the wisdom of 1 Peter 3:1, these letters weren't just advice—they were a call to the quiet strength, dignity, and biblical submission that defines a "Lady Elect." What began as a lifeline for one family soon became a beacon for many, as these teachings evolved into years of weekly Bible studies, sharpening women in faith and spirit.
The heart of a "Lady Elect" is one that cannot stay still when others are in need. After decades of pouring into the spiritual lives of women, God opened a new door: a partnership with a vibrant community in Kenya. Today, the mission has expanded from nourishing the soul to literally nourishing the body. Through the Dear Lady Elect non-profit, the wisdom once shared in letters is now being lived out through action.
We believe that every child in our program is "chosen"—called to a life of purpose and dignity. But the demand is growing. Our ability to reach the next child, provide the next meal, and pay the next tuition fee depends entirely on the "Elect" who choose to walk alongside us.
We are moving forward prayerfully, knowing that while the letters started in 1988, the story is far from over. We invite you to become a part of this living legacy. Your donation isn't just a gift; it is a bridge from a child's current need to their future potential.
